Well we just finished getting our potatoes in. They are Norland which are supposed to be better than Pontiac. I should say better because the Pontiac (red potato) has deep set eyes and if you 've ever tried to peel potatoes you know how tuff that can be. The myth, rule of thumb, old husband's tale (as my wife likes to call it) is that you are supposed to plant your potatos on good friday. The thought being the potato will resurect itself at some point in the future. I hope I'm don't sound irreverent here but I do think that potatos rising from their beds with out the aid of my shovel would be a joyous miracle. Anyway. My wife found this incredilbe dill sause recipe from when we had gone to Poland a few years ago. She makes it with new potatoes and it is dellicious!
