After a very long, very cold and very snowy winter we finally are seeing some wonderful signs of spring. The tulip, crocus and daffodil bulbs are emerging from the earth and we've also been seeing some signs of life from the sedum and hollyhocks. We've also been hearing some frogs singing over the last few days and the robins have reappeared after a long winter in the south. While Garrison Keillor refers to Minnesotans as good looking and strong (and our children are above average too) this winter has definately tested us. There were numerous mornings where we woke to find temperatures -25. This makes our lovely 60 degree day today even more enjoyable. It also reminds me that nothing - not even winter - lasts forever.
