Laser Curtain

CanvasWork is completing a contract sewing job on a laser barrier. In addiition to sewing parking meter bags our company works on heat seaming and large sewing projects that involve laying out hundreds of square feet of material. We sew and heat seam large clean rooms and laser barriers.

This is picture of our Miller WeldMaster T-500. It’s the work horse of our shop. We weld all our vinyl and acrylic with this machine. On this project the Weldmaster is welding acrylic fabric for the awning. The Awning is going up in Minneapolis for the Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop theatre. This is a custom job and we are very excited about it.

Contract Sewing Account: Industrial Curtains

Today, Canvaswork will be building Laser Safety Curtains. This is for one of the contract sewing accounts. This is an example of a design and build. We were approached a number of years ago with this material and ask how best to put the material together. You can see in the picture that we lay them out and fold them in a particular way before finishing them off with 1” double row seam. These industrial curtains can get to be pretty good size. Again, no job is too big for Canvaswork.
