You can’t park here but maybe we all can?

I just got done reading Nick Barlow’s blog entry “You Can’t Park Here” http://www.nickbarlow.com/blog/?p=289

His piece was in response to http://www.worldchanging.com/archives/010266.html My apologies to Mr. Barlow but I’ll offer a little more of American perspective.  I think communal ownership of automobiles is the direction this country should go in inorder to slow our on street congestion.  If an urban community, neighborhood, city  could maintain a small fleet of  cars.  Have them maintained.  Have insurances, leases and maintenance pooled/shared.  Have a fleet “parked” somewhere other than right out a persons residence.   Than we all could drive a fuel efficient, enviormentally friendly, safe vehicle and not have to circle the neighborhood looking for a parking spot.
